Working with tilemap circle map data

The options in the tilemap data panel allow you to assign values to different parts of the map.

Here, we will add data labels to each tile that show the difference in the 2022’s estimated population compared to 2021’s. We’ll add this extra data to the following map:;

Note: This workflow builds off the map (and example map data) here. Follow the steps in that article to create the map. Then you can follow these steps to try applying the label.

Assign the F column to the label field

  • Click Label and select Column F

The difference in estimated population for 2021 and 2022 has now been added to each state.

Tip: Turn off labels in Customize > Data labels > Visibility > Off.
