Customizing the chart plot area

This page contains tips for customizing the look and feel of the chart plot area, the region of the chart where the actual data is displayed.

Remove chart gridlines

The vertical lines in the chart plot area - known as grid lines - can be removed in the advanced customization menu.

  • Go to Customize > Advanced
  • Click the inspector tool icon and hover the pointer over the gridlines

  • This exposes the options in the menu dealing with customizing grid lines. 
  • Set the Grid Line Width to '0'

Create categories on the y-axis

Add a line annotation as a way to group items on the y-axis.
