Add extra information to the map tooltip

The tooltip is a great way to surface extra information to the reader. You can add extra information, for example quotes, data etc. in the map data panel and then assign it to the tooltip.

To add extra information to your map tooltip:

• Add the extra information into an empty column
• In the chart controller, click Extras and select column C

• Under Basic customize > Tool tip add {point.extra} into the Body field.
