Customizing Marker Size and Design

Guide: Customizing Marker Size and Design

1. Customize marker design per series in the Basic Editor

  1. Navigate to Customize > Chart type specific.
  2. Expand the Series you wish to edit.
  3. Open the Point Marker dropdown.
  4. Select from the available shapes:
    • None, Circle, Square, Diamond, Triangle, or Triangle-down

2. Global Styling (Advanced Editor)

Use this if you want every data point in your chart to look the same.

  1. Navigate to Advanced > Plot Options > Series.
  2. Open the Marker section.
  3. Change Design: Use the Symbol dropdown.
  4. Change Size: Adjust the Radius field.
Note: A radius of 4 or 5 is standard; larger numbers will increase the point size significantly.

3. Individual Series Styling (Advanced Editor)

Use this to distinguish between different data categories (e.g., "Actuals" vs. "Targets").

  1. Navigate to Advanced > Series.
  2. Expand the specific series (e.g., Series 1).
  3. Open the Marker sub-menu.
  4. Adjust the Symbol or Radius for just that specific data set.
