Working with categories map data

The options in the categories map’s data panel let you assign values to different parts of the map.

Here, we will add a label - population change as a percentage - to each municipality in this map:

Note: This workflow builds off the map (and example map data) here. Follow the steps in that article to create the map. Then you can follow these steps to try applying the label.

• Open the map from the project homepage,
• Click Data

Assign the C column to the label field

• Click Label and select Column C

The percentage change in population label is now added to each municipality.

Tip: Turn off labels in Customize > Data labels > Visibility > Off.
